Day 30 and 31: Brussels and Brugge

The first day in Belgium we took a day trip to Brussels, that was where our bus driver was from. In Brussels we went to a square and I had my first delicious waffle. I had strawberry and whipped cream put on top, so good. Afterwards we had a bus tour of Brussels by our bus driver, there was a lot of interesting buildings there because of the world's fair that was held there previously. We left Brussels after the tour and headed back to Brugge. In Brugge, I went out to eat with Becca, Rachel, Ryan, Anarudh, and Cesar. We ate at a cheap restaurant on some side street in town, I had pizza for the millionth time. When we were walking back to the hotel Cesar said he wanted a waffle, so we ran off to go get one. Places in Brugge close really early, so we walked around for a while before finding a place. We finally found one in front of the Bell tower. It was a REALLY nice place. We sat on a patio with a heater, it was freezing. I got Belgian hot chocolate and a waffle with fruit, ice cream, chocolate, and whipped cream on it. It was soooo delicious. It was nice just hanging out and eating some waffles. We walked back and I went to my room because I had to study for my music final. The next day was a completely free day, there was no plans. I ended up going to a chocolate factory as an optional trip with our bus driver. It was cool, we got to see people make some chocolates. Delicious chocolates. Afterwards I studied for a while for my test until Jamie woke up and we went out for some lunch. We ate at this organic food place, I got vegetable soup that was basically blended peas. haha then we got waffles, of course. I got one that just had chocolate on it. Afterwards I sat in the lobby and studied for a while. Cesar showed up from his bike ride with our professor and asked me to eat dinner with him. We went to out and I got spaghetti. It was the best spaghetti I have had on this trip so far because it wasn't just tomato sauce, it had actual vegetables in it. We went to get waffles for dessert, I seriously could live off these things. I got a cherry with chocolate sauce one, amazing. I had to study some more when we got back though, so we parted ways for the night and Jamie and I studied.
