Day 32 and 33: Travel day and Oxford

We had our music final in the morning before we left Brugge. It was pretty brutal, we will see how I did. After the final we jumped on the bus and headed for Oxford. We took the chunnel to get to the UK. It was pretty sweet, you can't see out or anything, though. Then we arrived at our final destination. Well at least with our bus driver. It is a really pretty campus and they have a very well kept lawn that we aren't allowed to go on. There is a pub that is right next to the dinning hall, also. haha all of the rooms are extremely different, so some people got better ones than others. Jamie and I got a suite with the two of us sharing a lounge and a bathroom. The bathroom is connected to Jamie's room which kind of sucks but oh well. Also we only have a tub, not a shower. I really don't like that. I never take baths. After everyone got into their rooms we had dinner. The dinning hall is really nice and they serve us way too much food. They also actually serve us instead of cafeteria style, which I am used to. They gave me some weird mushed up and fried vegetable patty thing. It wasn't too great but the vegetables and dessert were. Post dinner we went to an orientation that told us where classes were and what the rules were. I got to pick up my books for class also. Our music teacher was staying the night before he went back to Atlanta, so we invited him to grab a beer at the pub. It was interesting having a drink with my former teacher. Jamie, Becca, Rachel, and I went out on the town and saw the pub that J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis would frequent at called Eagle and Child. I got a lemonade drink with pimms. It was pretty delicious, it had fruit inside of it. We decided to go back and hang out in Jamie and my room. Becca and Rachel left and I skyped my parents. Cesar suddenly showed up pretty drunk with a stuffed monkey that his drunken mind thought I would appreciate. It was cute. We hung out for a while. In the morning I went to breakfast and saw Michael there. We had breakfast together and then hung out for a while on campus. I went back to the room and realized I was pretty tired so I took a nap. When I woke up I booked my trip to Dublin this coming weekend. I am excited for that. We need to book our trip to London and Amsterdam, too. Hopefully soon. We then went to dinner, the dinner was basically the same. Mashed vegetables in a patty. I guess I will have to get used to it. After dinner we tried to go to the super market but it was closed since it is Sunday. So I am just chilling out for the rest of the day anticipating class tomorrow. Becca called up to my window and we were talking for a little bit. Jamie went to the other window and showed Becca her phone. Becca then asked her jokingly to see it and held her arms out to catch it. Jamie threw it down and it shattered on the ground. Becca freaked out, but what she didn't know was that Jamie just found that phone in her room.
