Day 37 (night time portion) - 40: Dublin

After class on Thursday I finished some statics homework waiting for the time to leave for Dublin. While waiting I decided to call Cesar, but his phone was busy. I waited and called again, but when I looked out the window I saw him walking outside towards my dorm. It turns out we called each other at the same time and made the lines busy. Haha he was going to London for the weekend with his parents. We talked for a while about random stuff, until both of our parties were ready to leave. The train ride and taxi drive to the airport and the plane ride and taxi drive to Trinity college were good. We got there around 9 ish and checked into the dorms we rented at Trinity, they were pretty nice. After that we went out to eat at this Irish pub. It was pretty fun, I had the most incredible vegetable lasagna of my life. After eating we had a couple of drinks at the bar and met these two Irish guys. They proceeded to hit on Becca and talk about what they thought America was like, ie Spring break Panama City Beach. Very intense idea of how we all are. After a while they left and one kissed Becca and the cheek, she was enthralled. The next day I woke up early to met up with Jamie as she was arriving that morning. Well she changed the hostel and couldn't tell me and forgot where we originally were staying to find me. I spent the entire day alone in Dublin looking for her. I thought that she might have gotten lost or worse and left a note with the hostel to make sure we could met up. I stood outside from 6:30 am - 11 am. It was cold and drizzly with random creepsters walking by. I was not amused. Afterwards I proceeded to walk around looking into stores and sitting at random benches alone. The stores in Ireland are pretty expensive. There are a lot of street performers who do Irish music and fire breathing. Everyone is drunk and gambling. There was a nice park I went to and sat around in, but everyone was sun bathing there even though it was in the 60s. Finally after a long day of trekking around Dublin I sat down for some dinner. I ate by myself until an American family invited me to join them. I had a couple of ciders with them. I had a bunch of different flavors that were all pretty good. I think I am a cider connoisseur now. They were extremely nice and brightened my mood. I finally went to met up with Becca, Billy, Rachel, and hopefully Jamie. They all arrived safely and I was finally reunited with my friends. We just went to bed after an exhausting day. The next day Jamie and I woke up and got some breakfast, it was supposed to be pancakes but they were more like crepes. After that we went to the city of Howth, it is a fisherman city on the coast. I walked down this cliff to a rocky beach, Jamie didn't go down with me. It was really pretty. We had lunch up there and then went back into town. We then proceeded to the Guinness brewery and took a tour. It was pretty interesting, but I really don't like Guinness. Jamie called up this guy that she met on the day that we were separated and he took us out to dinner. He bought us ciders, appetizers, a main course, and dessert. It was really expensive and tasted good. I had goat cheese and fruit, vegetable kabobs, and brownie with ice cream.  Afterwards, Jamie stayed with him and I went to find Becca, Billy, and Rachel. We went pub hopping. It was really fun. I didn't drink anything but we danced the night away. I am still a little sore from dancing. It was funny watching the guys try to dance with Becca and Rachel to no avail. The next day I net up with them and left Jamie to get to her ferry. We went to the wax museum and ate breakfast. It was fun, we posed with all the figures of people. Finally we set off for the airport and headed home. The journey was unexciting. When I got back I found out that Jamie missed her ferry and had to take a later one, she has still yet to show up. I had dinner with Becca and Rachel, which was nice. We had a horrible waiter though. He served them melted ice cream as their dessert. I went back to my room and wanted to do laundry and take a shower, but Cesar called and we talked for over an hour on the phone, which is weird since our staircases are right next to each other. I ended up just skyping the family and going to bed.
